3ABN Kids Network is looking for a talented Video Editor, willing to relocate to Thompsonville, Illinois, who can assemble recorded video into a finished project that matches manager’s vision and meets high standards for broadcasting. As a Video Editor, you should be able to bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.
3ABN Kids Network Video Editor: We are looking for an organized individual who is also mission and detailed-oriented to join our team in our efforts to reach children around the world. The ideal candidate is resourceful, adept in technology, creative, and is excited to help aid in the process of reaching our young audience to learn more about our Creator, Jesus Christ. This editor will also possess Christian values and demonstrate patience, as they will likely be in contact with children during recording.
Responsibilities
- Edit video and audio for a high-quality presentation
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects
- Ensure logical sequencing of shots and content of programs
- Consult with network manager from production to post-production process
Requirements and skills
- Mission minded
- Team player
- Demonstrates growth to improve skills
- Proficiency in Final Cut, Motion, Photo Shop, After Effects
- Proven experience as video editor or has a BS degree in film studies
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity
- Familiar with special effects, 3D and compositing
- Critical thinker and problem solver
- Able to multitask and communicate with kids
