From you PASSION to ours

DC Warehouse team members will be responsible for maintaining production functions to ensure continuous and efficient product flow through the Distribution Center (Cold Warehouse). Candidates must be available to work weekends.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

• Operates a fork-lift/powered equipment in a safe and responsible manner
• Wraps pallets
• Truck loading and unloading
• Practices the highest standards of GMP's
• Documents safety checks on fork-lifts/powered equipment prior to use
• Ensures accurate documentation of all inbound paperwork
• Completes activity movements sheets daily
• Reports any product or property damage to DC Superintendent or DC Manager
• Work with Quality and Food Safety Team to ensure the quality and specifications of product are continually being met
• Take necessary measures if people are performing unsafe acts or are in an unsafe environment
• Key contributor of the maintenance of FSSC 22000 system
• Uphold all rules pertaining to confidentiality of information regarding Lactalis products, recipes and employee information

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education:

• High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) is preferred

Experience:

• Previous employment in a food industry setting is preferred
• Basic mathematical and computer skills are required
• Perishable and dry goods warehouse experience
• Shipping and Receiving experience preferred
• Stable and dependable work history is required

Specialized Knowledge:

• Inventory control, cycle counts, and FIFO system formats
• Forklift and pallet jack operation
• Basic data entry skills

Skills/Abilities:

• Experience with fork-lift and power driven equipment operation/knowledge
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Manual dexterity
• Vision abilities (close, distance color and ability to focus)
• Push/pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally,
• Stand/walk for entire shift
• Perform repetitive movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching)

Candidate must have the following attributes/skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity, vision abilities (close, distance, color and ability to focus), able to push/pull/lift and carry at least 30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally, be able to stand for entire shift, be able to perform repetitive movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching).

Sign On Bonus & Pay:

We are offering a $2,000* Hiring Bonus to candidates for hourly positions. *Bonus amount is a gross amount. $1,000 will be paid out in following paycheck 90 days after hire; an additional $1,000 will be paid out in following paycheck 180 days after hire. Temporary, part-time and certain rehired employees are not eligible.

Pay: $21.50/hour plus $2.00 2nd shift differential. Weekend Premium 20% more (+$4.30/hr). Lactalis offers very competitive pay, benefits and paid time off. Hours: 2:00 pm to 10:16 PM, Saturdays, Sundays (occasionally) and Mondays
