Your Role

The Batcher is responsible for mixing machines and related equipment to compound and process raw materials according to formulas. Must follow process order to add material in specified quantities and times.

Your Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

1. Gathers multiple ingredients according to the daily production plan for mixing and batching; remove ingredients from inventory using SAP.

2. Read PI Sheets/Batch sheets and mix ingredients accordingly.

3. Assembles pumps and transfer lines as needed.

4. Documents the work steps in appropriate systems.

5. Assists in writing/updating SOPs.

6. Assists in training new Batchers on equipment, procedures and safety.

7. Implements the internal and legal specifications and guidelines concerning hygiene, HACCP, food and work safety and environmental protection.

8. Keeps Supervisor and Manager informed on issues or immediate needs that may impact the department.

9. Adheres to GMPs within appropriate zones.

10. Interacts with and inputs data into SAP.

11. Performs general sanitation duties.

12. Assists in other areas of production as needed.

13. Completes CIP/COP on production equipment.

14. Performs LOTO procedures when needed.

Your Profile

1. High school diploma or equivalent

2. 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing / production environment

3. Compounding/mixing experience

4. Working knowledge of food & beverage production or related processes

5. Must be able to read and follow a production schedule

6. Must be proficient in the use of equipment such as flow meters, scales, steam lines, chart recorders, agitators, pumps, valves, and batch tanks

7. Forklift experience

8. SAP experience

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is occasionally exposed to wet, warm, humid and cold temperatures.

The employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days can vary depending on production schedule.
