2nd Grade Classroom Teacher Job at Siloam Springs School District
Position Title: Classroom Teacher – 1st or 2nd

Qualifications:* Must hold proper Arkansas certification
*
Reports to:* Principal/Assistant Principal
*
Terms of Employment:* 190 days with benefits provided according to Siloam Springs School Board policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*
- Plan and prepare lessons aligned with instructional standards
- Collaborate with other teachers in professional learning communities
- Assess accomplishments of students and provide progress reports as required
- Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Create positive educational climate for students.
- Establish classroom behavior expectations and procedures
- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Effectively implement district initiatives
- Refer students for alternative services as provided by the district (ESL, Special Education, GT, etc.)

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:*
- Abide by state statutes, school board policies and regulations
- Attend meetings and perform duties as assigned by administrators or supervisors
- Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation.
- Serve on committees as assigned.
- Remain current on instructional practices in education.
