- This job reports to Assistant Superintendent of Special Services.
- This position is a Full Time, benefits eligible position
- The starting salary for this position is $40,000 - $82,000. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
- Collaborates with district personnel for the purpose of implementing and maintaining services and/or programs.
- Coordinates program components, support needs and materials for the purpose of delivering services which conform to established guidelines.
- Coordinates with a variety of personnel for the purpose of delivering comprehensive services for students in compliance with established guidelines.
- Evaluates programs and/or projects for the purpose of carrying out and achieving objectives within area of responsibility.
- Facilitates meetings, processes, and procedures for the purpose of implementing and maintaining programs and services for student’s receiving services and accommodations.
- Implements assigned programs and/or projects for the purpose of conforming to district, state and federal guidelines.
- Maintains a variety of manual and electronic files and/or records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference, preparing diagnostic summaries, and complying with regulatory requirements and established guidelines.
- Monitors district section 504 program components for the purpose of coordinating activities and ensuring compliance with established financial, legal and/or administrative requirements.
- Participates in a variety of meetings (e.g. workshops, 504s, parent conferences, state conferences, committees, etc.) for the purpose of gathering and/or sharing information related to student needs or program improvement.
- Prepares a wide variety of written materials (e.g. quantity reports, student activities, correspondence, internal audits, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information.
- Presents information on a variety of topics for the purpose of communicating information and/or gaining feedback.
- Researches a variety of topics (e.g. current practices, policies, education codes, etc.) for the purpose of providing information and/or recommendations and/or addressing a variety of program requirements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

Job Summary
The job of Section 504 Process Coordinator was established for the purpose/s of coordinating Section 504 education program components and related activities; providing information to others; and implementing and maintaining services within established guidelines and standards.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, staff, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plan and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory to instructional program; ability to plan and implement lessons based on subject and school objectives and the needs and abilities of students to whom assigned. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, peers and parents, skill in oral and written communication. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.
