Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
GENERAL DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides quality patient care in variety of settings in collaboration with and under the direction of the Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician. Follows established nursing and organizational standards, procedures, and practice. Gives specific patient care directions to nursing and other staff. Provides education and support for patients, families and staff members.
Experience Requirements
The NP must have at least 5 years of recent clinical experience to include sufficient experience in hospice, palliative care, and/or acute inpatient care.
Education Requirements:
The NP must have a Master'sdegree from an accredited program for Nurse Practitioners.
Required Certificates and/or Licenses:
The NP must have medical practice licensure from the governing body for medical practice for the District of Columbia, State of Maryland, and/or the Commonwealth of Virginia. A related Nurse Practitioner certification is preferred.
