Examines heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors. Makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat. Ensures that monitors are functioning properly. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Education: High School Graduate or GED certificate
Experience: Prefer 2 years experience as a Nurse Aide, Monitor Tech or EMT
Licenses/Certificates: Current NM Nurse Aide Certification; Current BLS Certification or obtain per policy upon hire; maintain such certifications MMH will provide a basic dysrhythmia course; successful completion of this course is required.
